RMBL Investments Newsletter — September 2020
--
Quarterly Update
Funds under management now exceed $1.16 billion. Our fund size continues to grow, largely due to RMBL’s interest rates and the loyalty of its Members.
Announcement
RMBL turned 60 on 28 September 2020. We are proud to have been in business throughout various periods of opportunities and challenges.
COVID-19
RMBL operates within a permitted industry. Our office remains open with appropriate COVID-19 measures in place. We are getting closer to living with COVID-19 at acceptable levels. The Federal Government is making available significant liquidity to ensure that the Australian economy rebounds from the pandemic. Included in this, is the direction to major banks to relax their lending guidelines and support both the SME and housing sectors. We hope that over the coming months all our staff will be able to work in the office. We also look forward to welcoming our Members to our recently refurbished office.
Interest Rates
RMBL’s standard variable interest rate is 7.0% per annum. We continue to charge Borrowers predominantly between 7.0% and 8.5% (variable) depending on the individual loan criteria. The activities of the Reserve Bank and the Federal Government are resulting in the easing of interest rates.
RMBL may at its discretion charge some Borrowers, who present as a low risk and whose business we are keen to retain, rates lower than our standard variable rate for investment grade security properties meeting the appropriate conditions.
Demands For New Funds
We continue to receive substantial support from our Members in the placement of funds with RMBL. We appreciate this vote of confidence! Liquidity levels are currently high within RMBL due to Borrowers settling sales and Members depositing significant funds. However, in these uncertain times we will remain cautious in approving any NEW facilities. We will focus our attention on supporting longstanding Borrowers with their activities and development projects. Our ability to fund good quality projects is critical at this time. Please visit our Investment Opportunities page on our website to browse some of the projects being funded.
Please contact Andre Bokos on (03) 9213 5704 or Dawn Arendse on (03) 9213 5708 to discuss investing additional funds.
Cyber Fraud Threats
Cyber criminals are becoming very sophisticated and can impersonate emails, purporting to be from RMBL. We would strongly suggest that, if you intend to
electronically deposit funds to our Trust account, you call our office to verify any such email instructions before acting on the same.
